Her musical journey and pursuit to establish her name as a global brand is cosmic; inspired by her need to think out of the box! Afro-Twist as a band understands Khethi’s need for fresh grooves that capture the tribal essence of her roots and her passion for jazz and the blues… Khethi collaborates with musicians from all over the world on her travels. She is currently based in Johannesburg working as Khethi & her AfroTwist which comprises of cool young musicians. AfroSoulJazz is the fusion of sounds they love to play and sing. The band has been together since February 2009, “we enjoy each other’s musicality, constantly growing our craft by studying different genres. We are essentially a 6 piece band [lead vocal, keyboard, guitar, bass, percussions and drums] we also have a backup singer and a saxophone play. We have music training and each member has more than 5 years’ experience in music performance.
