Khalea Lynee is a singer and songwriter at heart and has been for the majority of her life. She was born in Washington DC on November 21st. By age 4 Khalea and her family relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida. Her love for music started at a young age and was expressed first in the church, and then abroad as she grew older. Khalea wrote her very first song at the tender young age of 12, and from that moment on, knew exactly what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. Khalea was encouraged to sing in front of large crowds of people, as her mother was the pastor of a church and would force her to do so on Sunday mornings. Nervous and shy at first, she eventually began to break out of her shell and began to think of the stage as her comfort zone. She continued to write songs from the heart and was able to conquer her fears and sing them on stage. Khalea sang at numerous events during her time in high school, was a part of several chorus groups and choirs in high school as well as in college, and later became a member of her older brother's band. The band, 'Julian's Experience', took Khalea's talent on the road as they travelled to many different cities and states performing in various types of venues and settings. Over the years, Khalea Lynee has been working and searching for doors of opportunity that would allow her to showcase her talents to the world.
