His eclectic style visits a multitude of different genres, spanning from Soul and Hop Hop to Brazilian to Soul-Funk-Jazz-Broken Beat. His DJ sets see him cutting tightly between genres, with a strict eye on the dancefloor and ear for quality soulful music. Having 10 years DJ experience under his belt, and having played with/supported some of the worlds most respected artists, he is guaranteed to rock the party for both music heads and mainstream audiences alike. Initally gaining recognition for his turnbalist skills in the DMC World DJ Championships (2 x UK Finalist), Kev has has two major worldwide releases, in 2007 on Mr Bongo Records: “Brazilian Beats n’ Pieces” dropped in June 2007. Continuing Mr Bongo’s highly successful ‘Brazilian Beats’ compilation series, Kev has selected, mixed, scratched and beat juggled his way through 30 of his favorite tracks from the previous compilations in an all-Brazilian turntablised/cut-up mixtape, to rave reviews. “Wildstyle Lesson EP” just released, September 07. As part of the “Wildstyle” movies’ 25th Anniversary, Mr Bongo are re-releasing the iconic soundtrack with an extra CD of remixes and previously unreleased material. Kev’s “Lesson”is the main feature here, taking the form of a cut-and-paste dancefloor killer, playing on the movies’ most famous samples and beats. U
