Ketaspidur was born in Karksi-Nuia Gümnaasium in 1999 when a band of three members was brought together by guitarist Priit Oks. In it's first years Ketaspidur acted as a school band and performed covers of other musicians. On February 14th 2000 the band celebrated it's first birthday, that was the Valentine's Day the band had their first performance at schools party. Two years later the band’s very first own song was born - "Usual Day", which started a new period for them. New songs were written and performing cover songs was soon thing of a past. The number of gigs increased and the band’s audience grew fast. By the year 2004 Ketaspidur was a successful "warm-up band". Most of the perfomances were with some well-known Estonian bands (i.e Terminaator, The Tuberkuloited, No Big Silence, Vennaskond, Blind, J.M.K.E. etc). The bands 2004 birthday event was held in Viljandi Kultuurimaja with Gunnar Graps and by today well-known Slide-Fifty along with a few other fellow bands. The year 2005 started with a new breathing for the band as the second guitarist Jan joined them. His overflowing musical energy affected the other members aswell and his joining can be considered as the second birth of the Ketaspidur. The band took part of the Tivoli Tuur and also performed at the Õllesummer 2005. Ketaspidur entered the year 2006 with a sparkle of fame for they performed at Raadio 2 show "R2 Live". The beginning of the year was also the time of busy gig schedule and a studio session. By
