Kerry McNew was born in Frankfort Indiana on the 31st of May, 1953. His first band was with ( Grignard Regent ) in the early 70's. ( Ron Smith ) the founder of the group played Lead & Rhythm guitar & Vocals. They played a lot of cover songs & songs that Ron wrote. Kerry McNew played (drums) & Bob Greeno played ( Bass). Then Kerry switched to guitar & Bobby Sharp joined the Band on Bass & with a new drummer Alan Gates. The name was changed to ( Windsail ). ( Windsail ) reformed with Kerry McNew ( Guitar & Vocals),Alan Gates ( Drums & Vocals ) & Jeff Peters ( Bass & Vocals ). Then Mike Jaggers joined as lead Vocals & Kerry's cousin Dan Huffer joined playing Lead & Rhythm guitar. Kerry then joined up with Bill Isenhower ( Bass & Vocals ) to form ( Not of this World ) They met in a church and eventually decided to start a band which consisted of just the two of them. They made their own back tracks and played Coffee shops & a few churches. Kerry plays guitar,drums & bass. He has a studio where he records all his songs. He uses Cakewalk Sonar 7 producer edition. He plays a PRS ten top, and a BC Rich Mocking bird supreme, and a Martin DM acoustic guitar. influences: Phil Keaggy, John Elefaunte, Kerry Livgren, Moody Blues, Beatles, 77's, Daniel Amos, Jimi Hendrix and so many more.
