If you’ve been longing for music that will truly set your soul on fire, The Kerry Kearney Band delivers. Kerry Kearney, a slide guitar master, is entertaining in the way he plays and works his instrument to limits that amaze even the most cultured music fan. The sounds that Kerry creates from his vintage, stock and custom made guitars are as unique as his song writing and original melodies. Kerry Kearney’s achievements include awards for "Best Blues Band", "Best Guitarist" from the Long Island Voice and “Bluesman of the Year” from the Long Island Blues Society and is a recent recipient (Sept 2008) of the prestigious Long Island Sound Award ( LISA) given by the Long Island Music Hall Of Fame. His long resume includes extensive work with Marty Balin (Jefferson Airplane) as both a band member and studio guitarist, with Sam Andrew (Big Brother and the Holding Company) and had been often requested and featured as a guest musician on many other CDs. The Kerry Kearney Band’s style, which is referred to as “Psychedelta”, is their own brand of music containing an upbeat mix of American Roots, Blues and Rock. They have continued to experience an overwhelming and positive response whenever their music is heard over the radio and especially when the band performs live. The Kerry Kearney Band has toured nationally with The Allman Brothers Band as well as The Dickey Betts Band. The Band performs in New York venues such as The Bottom Line, B.B. Kings, The Blender Theater, Tribeca Blu
