Progressive rock/metal singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Dallas, Texas. KSJ plays guitar (electric and classical), bass, mountain dulcimer, mandolin, tinwhistles... Main influences: Rush, Pink Floyd/David Gilmour (since '77-78), and Iron Maiden (since '82). Currently auditioning band members, KSJ is looking for a bassist and drummer. A decorated U.S. Navy veteran and high school teacher (do they give medals for that?), KSJ is looking forward to the day when he can make his living with his music, and spend his off hours scuba diving with his wife, or lazing on some golden strand in some tropic clime. _____ Other inspirations for KSJ: Rock/Metal include KISS, Aerosmith, Cirith Ungol, Black Sabbath/Heaven and Hell, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, Metallica; Celtic includes the music of Irish composer Turlough O'Carolan [1670-1738], Altan, Solas, John Doyle, John Spillane, Dougie Maclean; Latin includes Johannes Linstead, Ottmar Liebert, Rodrigo y Gabriela.
