Kelen was born in Londrina, Brazil on September 16, 1976. She began singing with 2 years old with his father playing guitar. She made her first song with 7 years old and with 12, she began playing at the church for worship services, adult's camp, children's ministry and others ministries in the church. In 1994, she started to write songs for what would be her first experience as singer. The following year, with Paulo Wesley arranging the songs (who later became her husband), she recorded their first CD: "Nova Vida" (New Life). The second cd was launched in 2001 "Vertical", and her third in 2008 "For The Nations", recorded in Atlanta, USA, with arrangements and production by Paulo Wesley and John Carrozza, who produce Boyz II Men.
