Keita Tachibana (or Tachibana Keita), born in Fukuoka, Japan on 16 December 1985, is the lead singer from Japan boy-band trio w-inds. signed with Japanese record company Pony Canyon. Together as a group, they have released 27 singles, 7 albums, and 11 DVDs. On 18 October 2006, he released his first solo single "Michishirube" (The Road Sign). His first solo album "Koe" (Voice) is scheduled to be released on 29 November 2006. He has an older brother, Yuta Tachibana, and two younger sisters, Mai Tachibana, and Mio Tachibana. He plays various musical instruments including the piano, guitar, and bass guitar. In his free time, he enjoys playing pool and soccer. Pony Canyon has announced on 16 September 2006 that w-inds. will not be disbanding despite Keita's solo efforts.
