Keeley Hawes (born Claire Hawes, 10 February 1976) is an English actress, known for many television roles, notably those of Zoe Reynolds in Spooks (2002-04) and Alex Drake in Ashes to Ashes (2008-10). Hawes is also known for voicing the video game character Lara Croft since the 2006 release of Tomb Raider: Legend. Hawes first came into the public eye in the early 1990s, in 1990's Troublemakers and the 1992 BBC costume drama, The Moonstone. She has since appeared in many other television dramas, including Dennis Potter's Karaoke (BBC One/Channel 4, 1995), and Othello (ITV, 2001). She starred in the music video of She's a Star by the band James in 1997. She played the young Diana Dors in the ITV biopic Blonde Bombshell (1999) and Nicola Graham in the ITV drama After Thomas (2006) and was DI Alex Drake in the BBC drama series Ashes to Ashes (2008-2010), the sequel to Life on Mars. She is the face of Boots No 7 cosmetics.[3] Her latest television role is as a Detective Superintendent in a 6-part series for ITV called Identity which was broadcast in 2010.
