Keane Douglas Wren is the sole songwriter, programmer, instrumentalist, and producer for Dharma Street Groove, and Last Ceremony, as well as his self-titled work which are all studio projects of his different artistic reflections. He has released these works under the New Temple Productions label he created. In his twenties, in Des Moines Iowa, music was his greatest passion, performing live, and writing in bands that ranged from performance art, gothic, alternative, and even an African-based drum ensemble as well as acoustic folk to name a few. Music moved to a hobby in his late twenties but came into focus later, after he retired from the Army at the age of 48, Since that time he has shown renewed commitment and zeal that has led to greater inspiration. and musical output This inspiration has brought about a wide range of explorations in musical styles. Wren seems to try to not have limits when it comes to writing songs as these three projects evidence, showcasing his different creative sides. Wren also writes, shoots photography, creates design (which includes all his own track art) does artwork, and loves cooking. He owned Des Moines, Iowa's first Vegetarian Cafe/Organic Coffee shop and its second real coffee shop of any type in 1993/94 under the name Whole Planet Cafe, Before that in 1987 at 22, he was a partner and masterminded Des Moine's first New Age Book Store/Isolation FloatCenter called Visions located in West Des Moine, Iowa.
