Kay Vernon (born Katherine Kelly Vernon in 1975) is the former bass player for the indie alternative band Fizzy. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California. Her first album, "A Threatening Sky", was mostly adult alternative based with pop leanings and spawned four singles including "Fly". In 2008, she released her second album, "The Promise", which is more pop/rock leaning with a hint of dance elements. Again, four singles were released, including "Innocence". Vernon plays all the instruments on her albums with the exception of drums, which are played on both albums by former Fizzy bandmate Mandy Perrone. Her third album, as of now titled "This Mad Life", is scheduled for a Winter 2010 release and its lead single is called "Falling Down".
