David Kauffman and Eric Caboor met in 1982 when both were playing the coffee house circuit in Los Angeles. The first record, Songs From Suicide Bridge, was recorded at Caboor's home studio using only a small 4 track recorder in an all- acoustic format. With minimal overdubs, these recordings are a fairly accurate representation of their live shows at the time. The original plan was for 13 songs to be included, but due to the space limitations of vinyl, it was necessary to pare the record down to 10 songs.
