Biography Embracing her career with absolute power & prowess, Australian-based Katt Niall is far from your average female artist. Perhaps it’s in her triple talent. Perhaps it’s in her 13 years of live drumming. Or perhaps it’s the double-dosed support she received from the one and only Pete Tong on BBC1 on her first ever release. Whatever it may be, this talented young female is set for stars as she swiftly takes on both the National & International markets. Prior to 2010, perfecting her skills as a DJ & producer took precedence, following 4 years of study in audio production & a newfound desire to perfect her live DJ/Vocal sets. But proving it wasn’t just her energetic set selection turning heads, late 2010 Katt took to the national airwaves with her vocal remix of Stevie Mink’s ‘Purple Pills’, which although unsigned, gained National airplay on Grant Smillie & John Course’ weekend radio show ‘NovaNation’. Earning her an extensive Melbourne fan base, and even gaining play on an internationally televised event, bookings for her raw & unique Vocal/DJ sets soon became frequent. And by the time 2010 drew to a close, she’d landed herself live gigs in Europe, New Zealand, and across some parts of Australia. Katt and compatriot Stevie Mink’s very first release ‘Forever’ generated massive hype both overseas & within the country.
