Kati Durst is a Canadian singer from Goderich, Ontario, and the tenth-place finisher in the 2006 season of Canadian Idol. Durst, who was an automotive detailer, had a severe cold driving to her audition in Kitchener, but impressed the judges enough to be given a "golden ticket" to the next round in Toronto. She was eventually put through to the semi-finals, and later to the Top 10, but was the first finalist eliminated on July 18. Durst's performances on Canadian Idol included: 1. Top 22: Drift Away (Dobie Gray) 2. Top 18: I Hope You Dance (Lee Ann Womack) 3. Top 14: Not Ready to Make Nice (Dixie Chicks) 4. Top 10: It Makes No Difference (The Band) - Eliminated 07/18/06 User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
