Kasba

Kasba, a band with roots in Morocco and the Netherlands mixes North African music such as Gnawa and raï with western musical styles such as rock, reggae and soul. Lyrics are in Arabic, English, Dutch and French. Kasba's career took a flight after playing at the wedding party of Dutch crown prince Willem Alexander and Máximà Zorreguieta. Kasba consists of 5 musicians with different musical background. The combination of their musical spices and the energy created by the group during performances makes Kasba a very exciting and interesting group to watch. Kasba released 3 records up till 2007: Sidi Yahia (2002), Chouf Chouf (2004) and ZigZag (2007). By 2008, a fourth album is released: Tarab u Nagham.
