Quirky, eclectic Karina Mia takes the stage with catchy tunes and whimsical wordplay that is all at once creative, honest and raw. The singer-songwriter's soulful voice follows in the footsteps of neo-retroists Adele and Amy Winehouse, while maintaining an Ingrid Michaelson-esque sound all of her own. Karina Mia was immersed in art and creativity at a young age and carries that foundation into her songwriting. Inspired to write by indie bands of her youth including MewithoutYou, Blindside, and Emery, the young artist moved to Memphis in 2008 to study music at Visible Music College. Since then Karina has been hitting the indie-pop scene and sharing her bold yet relatable songs about life, hope and relationships. She is currently writing new material and will be releasing “Vagrant” ep in the near future. She says that these new songs are clever and even have a sense of refection to them.
