Karen Briggs was born in New York. (Manhattan ). She took on the violin at age 12 and was playing in concerts by age 15. She toured with New Age artist Yanni until 2004. She has also worked with Stanley Clarke, Ledisi, Mike Phillips, Hidden Beaches Unwrapped band and many others. Her style is mainly Jazz with a fiery Gospel inspiration .
