Kumari Kanchan Dinkerao Mail (March 16, 1950—July 26, 2004) was an Indian singer best known as part of the husband-wife group Babla & Kanchan. Some of her popular songs are: 1. Tumko mere dil ne, Rafoo Chakker (1975) 2. Kya khoob lagti ho, Dharmatma (1975) 3. Laila main laila, Qurbani (1980) Kanchan means Gold in Hindi. Kanchan (e.g. Yashodhara B. Kanchan) is also a surname mostly used in the southern part (Mangalore) of India by fisher-folks.
