Despite KANATRAN was formed in the late 90's by Omar Aranda (guitars & programming) and José Joaquín Vallejo (drums), releasing a demo (Un Golpe Bajo Para Chile), an EP (EP6), a couple of video clips, and even being included in the soundtrack of the movie "Angel Negro", it wasn't until 2001/2002 when they recorded and released their debut album "Ojo Invisible", that the band startd to work as a unit with a solid line-up, including Ivan Muñoz on vocals, Slavian Kuzmanic on keyboards and Francisco Martín on bass. The "Ojo Invisible" album marked the breaking point of KANATRAN and got them very good reviews by the press in Latin America and Spain. This album also gave them the chance to play live intensively and to inlcude the song "Nueva Sangre" in the soundtrack of the Vampire's movie "Eternal Blood". The song "Nueva Sangre" also became a video clip and was included as well on a free compilation CD, sponsored by one of Chile's best selling beers' companies. That compilation CD was given away, promoted and advertised heavily by the brand, and brought as a result a huge free promotion for KANATRAN. The band then got one of the local most wellknown artist´s manager to handle their career, and that fact help them a lot to keep on playing live quite often. By mid 2003, Omar Aranda and Ivan Muñoz, the main song writers, started working on new stuff for a second album.
