KAMIYADO, (神宿) also known as KMYD, is a five-member j-pop group formed in 2014 and based in Harajuku Tokyo. KAMIYADO originates from the combination of the kanji, "Kami/神" from Meiji Shrine (明治神宮) and, "Yado/宿" from Harajuku (原宿). Their other name, KMYD, stands for, "Kawaii! Max! Yell! Dream!" They have a sister group called Hiragana KAMIYADO that debuted on June 29, 2019. Hiragana KAMIYADO is composed of those that auditioned to fill the absent green role after Sekiguchi Naho's graduation but ultimately didn't make the cut. January 13th, 2019, Sekiguchi Naho graduates from the group and it is announced that a competition will be held to select a new member to fill her role, with Sekiguchi being involved in the selection process. April 29, 2019, Shiomi Kira joins KAMIYADO.
