There are always going to be a select few sounds, samples, techniques, and modulations that are specific to the electronic scene. There are also a select few that can use these techniques originally and creatively. That’s where Kami Kapnobatai comes in — the experimental producer takes what is assumedly standard garage percussion and toned-out vocals and turns them into something other-worldly. The humble producer is able to take an idea grounded in a fluid melody, hone it in, shift its interchangeable layers and weave together an intricate tapestry of something which borders between meditative and nirvanic. What we get as an audience is an emotional, wholesome, thought-out composition that never harasses the ears. Kami Kapnobatai was an anonymous project.
