There's a powerful lineage of impressive duos throughout music history that spans everybody from Simon & Garfunkel to Method Man & Redman. When two distinct personalities join together for a singular musical mission, something special happens. Now, it's happening again with Northern California twosome Kalin and Myles (KAM). Together, they stir up pop, hip-hop, and R&B into an irresistible and inimitable hybrid affectionately and appropriately dubbed "Hip Pop". Meet the 21st century's premier pair. Even though they reflect a time-honored tradition, the boys represent the future from the inception of their music to their style. First meeting at a local movie theater in 2011, they kept in touch on Facebook and began formally making music together, creating their own beats, singing, and rapping. Soon afterwards, they dropped "More Than Friends" online, and the response was instantly overwhelming. They performed shows with the likes of Austin Mahone and Megan & Liz and slowly developed a fervent fan base. Headline gigs then followed and started selling out everywhere across the country. On their debut EP for Republic Records, Chase Dreams, Kalin and Myles steer pop music down their own lane. Rather than solely relying on anyone else's sounds or ear, the duo opted to write and produce the bulk of the seven-song set in Myles's bedroom, co-writing only three cuts.
