KALAFRANA are Pete Gibbons and Matt Dew, with occasional windpipe from Belgian truffle Nicolas and knob-tweaking from Cormac. KALAFRANA's music is aural goulash; charity shop off-cuts, a generous handful of fruity loops, thick slices of roast guitar and goujons of deep-fried bass, all strained through cheesecloth, poured into a mixer then stewed overnight in an old Apple. KALAFRANA's Heavy Electricity is a compilation of recordings produced by Pete Gibbons between 1997 and 1999. Includes 'Theme from Need Any Help' (soundtrack for a short film by award-winning Belgian artist and film maker Nicolas Provost), 'Eco-Worrier Remix' (a reworking of Ecologist's 'She Loves You' which originally appeared on the Moksha released 12" of the same name) and bonus track 'Theme for Toni & James'.
