Artist
A product of the late eighties and a songwriter born into the mighty flatlands of Amarillo, TX, Kacie vividly recalls plucking out the simplest form of "The Feather Theme" from Forrest Gump on the piano at the tender age of five - asnd has since pressed onward toward honing her artistic craft of making music. She distinctly remembers the brilliantly lazy melodies of James Taylor drifting throughout her living room as she grew up, and after shamelessly rocking out to cassette tapes; Jars of Clay, Hanson, Caedmon's Call, Space Jam, and Christmas with the California Raisins to be precise, Kacie slowly began to realize that this wasn't just a playful hobby - it was, for lack of a better term, a burning passion that would only grow as precious time began to pass. After slaving away at the ivories for a few good years, she abandoned her education of piano for the pursuit of becoming a barefaced rocker. She used all $200 of her prized savings to purchase a wicked jet-black electric guitar; courtesy of Ibanez, with an itsy-bitsy amplifier to boot. Soon thereafter, though times had been engaging, she came to the sweet revelation that she was not, in fact, cut out to be quite the punk rocker she had always envisioned herself becoming. So she traded her star-studded style in for something a bit more, well, "chilled out." Her very first acoustic guitar had been acquired, and she labored tremendously for the next seven years of her life to become somewhat of a master over the instrument.
