1. Vasily Konev is a russian song-writer and singer from Orenburg. 2. KONEV is a Finland/Tampere electronic/live-music trio. "KONEV"-name comes from finnish word "kone" which actually means "machine". "KONE" is also a very big finnish/multinational corporation that builds elevators. So maybe this is some kind of new twisted industrial elevator music...:) All members in this band have grown up musically to this point in a various alternative/indie bands. Aside from KONEV, members have also personal history in theatrical and visual arts field. Together they have produced audio-theatre, visual media and film productions. KONEV sound/vision is a product of improvisation, collective play and media-assimilation/selective downloading - pieces of music itself are the result of constant recycling of these different elements and smooth shifts between live experimenting and studio work.
