K.K.Electronics was founded in 2003 by Ilja Dombrovsky, electronics producer and musician from Holland. Before that he had participated in numerous electronic and jazz projects some of which he is proud of and some of which he would rather forget about :-)). K.K.Electronics is an analog electronica project, Moogs, Arps and other cult synths from KK-sudio are the main instruments on which K.K.Electronics does the magic. In 2003 a debute album "Carbon based music" was released. The album was widely acclaimed by critics and the public and was sold throughout the world. In 2004 Alexey Stratonov a dj and electronic musician/producer (classically trained nb) joined the band. In 2004 the guys won the regional dance and electronic competition "De Grote Price van Nederland" (the most important competition for bands and dj's in Holland). During the national finals they gave an unforgettable performance which is still talked about (video available here). The subsequent reviews and jury comments included many words like "genial" and "fabulous". K.K.Electronics is certainly one of the most interesting electronic project in holland now. In 2006 the guys organised their own label AstraSound in order to release good electronic music and are terrorising their synths working on their new 12" vinyl release which will be soon followed by their second album which is impatiently anticipated by many.
