Artist
While others spend their entire rap careers trying to prove their roots are concrete, Kalil Kash feels no need to. A late bloomer, Kash wrote his first rhyme at the age of 18 battling a plethora of wannabes on hip-hop battle sites. After spending a short stint at Norfolk State University in Virginia, he realized that hip-hop was his true passion. Kalil knows how to get a crowd hype, bring them back down to earth, then leave the stage ablaze again with a high energy crowd pleaser. It is because of this style that has his career, after only 6 years after picking up a microphone, catapulting at such a high-speed level. In the last year alone, Kalil has played at Public Assembly, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, the legendary End of the Weak, The Bowery Poetry Club, Crash Mansion, and not to mention a few college shows in Saratoga Springs and Brooklyn. Today, you can't search a hip hop site without finding praise or mention of his highly acclaimed debut “The Exit Method,” and his first music video for the album's lead single “Bang”, which can both be found on 2dopeboyz.com. Sleep if you wish, but soon Kalil will cause the “z's” to disappear. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
