Justin Randall Timberlake (born January 31, 1981) is an American singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and dancer. He is recognized as a prominent figure in popular music and has sold an estimated 88 million records worldwide. Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Timberlake began his career on musical television programs as a child, including competing on "Star Search" and appearing on the Disney Channel's "The All New Mickey Mouse Club" in the early to mid-1990s. On the show, he met JC Chasez, with whom he later became the lead vocalist of the pop boy band NSYNC. The group released four studio albums and achieved worldwide sales exceeding 70 million units. Timberlake launched a solo career with his first two albums, "Justified" (2002) and "FutureSex/LoveSounds" (2006), both of which sold over 10 million copies and were certified triple platinum by the RIAA. "FutureSex/LoveSounds" became his first number-one album on the US Billboard 200. He subsequently reached number one on the chart with "The 20/20 Experience" (2013), "The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2" (2013), and "Man of the Woods" (2018). "The 20/20 Experience" was the best-selling album of its release year.
