Just Satellites is a band from St. Petersburg/Tampa, Florida, formed in early 2010. While their earliest material was primarily pop-punk, the group later began to experiment with a more diverse range of sounds influenced by post-punk, shoegaze, krautrock, minimalism, noise and free improvisation, continually refining their sound through a constant process of writing and revision. The band has released several demo recordings, some of which are available for free download here, in preparation for a full-length release sometime in 2013. The band members are also involved in other projects, including the solo ambient and noise works of guitarists David DeCorte and John Freda, as well as the band Magic Slags and other music and visual projects based out of St. Petersburg's growing art scene.
