Just Charlie was formed in January of 2004, when the 5 students Allard Amelink, Henk Smit, Chris Verhagen, Tim van der Weijde en Niels Westerlaken decided to start a band. Friday the 13th of January 2004 was the day that JC first played together. At first they only performed songs originally by The Strokes. After a while they also began to play covers of Oasis, sang by Michiel Kalishoek, who joined the band from that period on. Later on they started writing their own songs. Just Charlie has released two EPs. The first one, "One My Six" contained 9 songs and was recorded in 2005. Early 2006 they recorded their second demo ep, titled 'Just Charlie EP' Unfortunately the band split up in September 2006.
