Just 4 Kicks is an a cappella vocal jazz quartet composed of Randy Crenshaw, Kirk Marcy, Kirby Shaw, and Vijay Singh. Formed in 1993 after the members were thrust together at several Northwest jazz festivals, the group has become a staple at jazz festivals, clinics, and concerts throughout the United States and Canada. Ranging far afield from their jazz roots into reggae, gospel/funk, bluegrass, classical choral, calypso, swing, and hymn tunes, Just 4 Kicks happily expands the parameters of a cappella vocal group singing, while retaining their love for spontaneous vocal improvisation and their signature collective sense of humor.
