Jussi Syren

Jussi Syren is a Finnish roots artist, starting his career in late 70´s and having his first chart success in 1981 with the rockabilly group Red Hot. Syren started out as an upright bass player in the 80´s, but switched to mandolin in the early 90´s. He has performed with several bluegrass and rocakabilly groups touring in Scandinavia, Europe and the United States. While not touring or recording, he teaches guitar play. In 2010 Jyssi Syren had three touring groups: Jussi Syren and The Groundbreakers, Jussi Syren Rockabilly Revival and Ranch Riot. Syren sings lead in all groups.
