Artist
Delahaye worked as an engineer for Wackie’s, and as an all-around musician (he served as co-engineer on his own album). His tenor-to-falsetto vocals are influenced by Horace Andy and perhaps Junior Murvin, as he offers his own take on Philadelphia soul. On his sole album he carves out a compelling, gorgeous style of his own, with deep dubs and some saxophone by Ronaldo Alphonso, and Wackies allstars Jerry Harris and Jah T. It consists of three Delahaye originals, and three covers, of Billy Stewart’s “Sitting in the Park” and Fuzz’s 1971 hit “I Love You For All Seasons,” and reggae standard “Travelling Man.” Appears on Jah Children Invasion Roots Past Present And Future Wackie's Selective Showcase Vol 1 Wackies Sampler Vol 1 Wackies Sampler Vol 2 Albums engineered by Junior Delahaye Mixing Engineer Wackies Rhythm Force - African Roots Act 2 [1982] Engineer Audley Rollens - Role Model [1984] Horace Andy - Dance Hall Style [1983] Horace Andy - Exclusively Horace Andy [1982] Jah Batta - Argument [1983] Jerry Harris - I'm For You [1982] Jerry Johnson - For All Seasons [198X] Jezzreel - Rockers [1982] Junior Delahaye - Reggae [1982] Love Joys - Lovers Rock [1982] Milton Henry - Who Do You Think I Am ?
