Junge Arbeiter — a trio from the Stuttgart area — draw their inspiration from the region’s strong hip-hop legacy, as well as their backgrounds as descendants of Kurdish, Turkish, and Greek migrant workers. Their story began when two members met in a kindergarten. All three – Marcel, Mo and Theo – discovered hip-hop through older relatives, and quickly developed their own style by writing and producing music influenced by prominent southern German rappers like Nimo, Dardan, Olexesh and Haftbefehl. Their unique identity centers on the concept of young workers, embracing both their generational experience and their family history of migration. The group sees themselves not only as representatives of the third generation but also as part of the broader community in southern Germany. Their commitment to the local scene is reflected in events like block parties, which they organize to give back to their community and promote interaction among different generations. https://www.instagram.com/jungearbeiter/ User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
