Juliana Jendo (Syriac: ܓܘܠܝܢܐ ܓܢܕܘ) is an Assyrian–American singer. She was born in Syria where she was raised and finished her university studies graduating with a degree in French literature. She was a teacher for few years before she began her singing career. She lives in Royal Oak, Michigan. She performed the children's song "Alap Beth" as well as "Lele Kool Watan Yima", "A jowanka manileh", "Ayneh Kharshaneh", and many other songs in Assyrian, as well as a large number of songs in Arabic. She has released few Arabic albums, as well as in Syriac-Aramaic. She has two CDs that are completely in Arabic. She recently performed some of her long time hits at the Assyrian Food Festival and Carnival in Encino, California. She is also known as the "Queen of Assyrian Singers". Jendo was profiled in the 2006 documentary The Last Assyrians (Les Derniers Assyriens). She was married but her marriage was not successful. She has played the leading role in two Assyrian movies and Juliana is the first Assyrian singer who performed songs in the Assyrian language with its different accents.
