Julian Winter is an independent artist, born in 1986 in germany. Julian has always been in touch with music since his early babyhood. His father played old records to him when he couldn't fall asleep. He learned playing keyboard and guitar as a teenager although he didn't like sheetmusic. After his high school diploma in summer 2006, Julian made his first home-recordings with the cheapest 'instruments' he could find: a low-priced e-guitar and e-bass, a broken mircophone, an old yamaha keyboard, several household articles and open-source audio software. He connected everything directly to his computer and recorded one by one. Julian claims that music-artists do not need expensive equipment to create interesting music. Furthermore, he avoids all kinds of compressors: "The exaggerated use of compressors downsizes the grade of quality in music."
