Artist
Julian Maier-Hauff is a live act from the south of Germany. His musical roots are in jazz, but he has spent the last few years in the electronic corner. He has been comb ining live instruments with electronic music for a long time. The last few years he worked as a studio and stage musician for Samy Deluxe, Manu Chao, Robot Koch, Irie Révoltés, Aldoc etc., as well as a loop artist alone or with a band. In early 2014, the young artist moved from the loop station to a new setup. For the most part, he is currently working analogously in combination with the advantages of digital sound processing. His sound always keeps a very playful character. Julian Maier-Hauff acts completely free, there are no fixed tracks, no fixed sounds and sound elements. His performances are one of a kind, which disappears as fast as they came, but lingers on for a long time. He plays with the depth of the fictional space, combining flat elements with driving grooves, crystalline sounds with quiet melodies. Without interruption, the sound apparatus moves from one motif to the next as soon as it has been pushed. The listeners are collected and taken on the ship of the music on a journey through strange sound worlds, in order to settle them safely in the home port at the end of the performance.
