There are at least two artists who share this name. 1.Julia Kay started singing in Russia (Yekaterinburg), back in 1988 at the age of 7 and her 1st performances happened at school. In 1996 she became a laureate of local musical festival 'Fantasies of the Stars'. In 2001 Julia won a local TV song-contest ‘Miracle of love’. In 2002 'LG karaoke song-contest' followed and from that time a qualified vocal tutor Stanislav Berdnikov helped Julia discover and master her vocal range and potential according to both style and musical genres. From a simple hobby, in 2001 it turned into ambition and profession when she joined 2 full line-up bands 'Lux Eterna' (Prog-Sympho-Metal) and 'Svetlojar' (Prog-Folk Rock). In December 2004 Julia in collaboration with Yury Zlokazov and Stanislav Berdnikov (both from Lux Eterna) started the solo project under her own name Julia Kay (Kay comes from the letter her real surname starts with). Following their intensive work, they recorded several songs including the 2 well acclaimed ones 'Angel Teardrops' (originally made for Lux Eterna) and 'Christmas Night', a song aimed to be broadcast locally via major radio stations in Russia. Following that moment, the project left a remarkable impact upon the audience and that resulted into nothing but praises due to its quality and the amazing vocal performance by the young talented singer.
