Julia Hülsmann (born 17 July 1968 in Bonn, West-Germany) is a German jazz pianist and composer. Her compositions are often based on literary works, especially poetry. Hülsmann has released records as a solo artist, in collaboration with other musicians, as well as with her own Julia Hülsmann Trio and Julia Hülsmann Quartet. Albums by the quartet, all released on ECM: In Full View (2013), A Clear Night / Kurt Weill and America (2015), Not Far from Here (2019), The Next Door (2022) and Under the Surface (2025).
