It was in her early years that Judy Bailey exchanged the traditionally overcast skies of London where she was born, for a life under the Caribbean sunshine of the small Antilles island of Barbados. At 17 she started to play guitar and write her first songs. It did not take long for the remarkable talent of this young woman to be recognized: Her first production promptly won her the coveted award "Gospel Album of the Year" and with Reggae Legend Eddy Grant ("Gimme hope Joanna", "Electric Avenue"...) as producer, Judy Bailey recorded the album "Between you and me".
