Joyfulpix is a catchy indie rock project from Russia. Mixed feelings and personal tragedy. Sophisticated sound that combines gloomy melodies, lo-fi and experimental pleasures. The band was founded on Friday May 13, 2022 by Follin (Arkadi), a musician of Armenian descent from Volgograd together with Sunostalgy (Sergey) from St. Petersburg. Previously, they were part of another project, but over time, due to the accumulated experience and changing tastes, it was decided to form Joyfulpix. The decision to form Joyfulpix was not an easy one due to the difficult situation the future members were in. Their last project no longer showed any prospects, it was already uncomfortable for them to be implemented within it due to the accumulated experience, change in tastes and image. However, the decision apparently had a positive impact on both the musicians themselves and their new work. Follin and Sunostalgy have a very wide range of musical knowledge and influences. Their style of music has evolved over the years under the influence of completely different artists, ranging from alternative classics of the 90s to Swedish cloud rap. Follin is invariably responsible for vocals and lead guitar, while Sunostalgy is responsible for keyboards, but the main responsibilities within the project may vary depending on the specific song.
