Jovan Maljoković is a saxophonist, arranger and composer based in Belgrade, Serbia. He is a great believer in bringing together different ethnic varieties of music. He formed his Balkan Salsa band in 1986 and the ensemble's unique blend of gypsy elements, Balkan folk music and Cuban rhythms has since been generating great interest and enthusiasm among international audiences. Founding members of Balkan Salsa band are also Miodrag Đino Maljoković on drums, Goran Potic on guitar and Slaviša Pavlović - Stanley on bass. Besides his present band, Jovan Maljoković played and recorded with numerous musicians all across ex-Yugoslavia.
