Artist
Singer/songwriter Joshua Radin was born on June 14, 1974 in Shaker Heights, Ohio. As a child, Radin was influenced by singing sensations such as Beatles, Cat Stevens, and Paul Simon. After graduating from Northwestern University, he moved to New York City and began his career in music by teaching himself to play the guitar and write music. Radin's first shot at stardom was in 2004. A close friend, Zach Braff, heard a demo containing his first compostion, "Winter." The piece was immediately used for a scene for the show "Scrubs." From there, many others began to become interested in his folk-rock and acoustic style of music and his fame blossomed. Radin's debut album "We Were Here", from Columbia Records, came out in June of 2006, followed by "Simple Times", from Mom & Pop Records, in September of 2008. Radin has also appeared on many TV Talk Show Programs, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel, and the CBS Early Show.
