Applying difficult tricks to larger handrails and pushing the envelope, he quickly became a member of elite skateboarding companies Toy Machine Skateboards, Fallen Footwear, and RVCA Clothing. Growing up in both southern California and the Chicago land area, he developed his twin passions of skateboarding and music (banjo and guitar), although at the time, music took a backseat to perfecting the art of the skateboarding. At 17, Harmony petitioned Toy Machine Skateboards, founded by world-renowned modern artist, Ed Templeton, and was invited to become a member of the team, touring the world and immersing himself in the skate culture and dabbling in the lifestyle of drugs. Within a couple years, Josh underwent a dramatic spiritual awakening in midst of a drug trip gone bad and re-dedicated his life to Christ. Over the last few years, he felt God leading him to record some original songs gathering inspiration from his musical heroes like the The Beatles, Elliott Smith, and bluesman, The Rev. Gary Davis. In 2009, he self-released the acoustic-tinged, banjo-laced, worshipful ep, "There's a Rhythm," followed by "Taller Than Trees" in 2010, and the bluesy/rock n roll, throwback EP, "Lamps," in 2011 which features covers of artists like Johnny Cash and Daniel Johnston.
