Artist
Josh Baldwin, born in Albemarle, North Carolina in 1979, is an American Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader. He gained prominence as a member of the Bethel Music collective in 2014. He began his journey in North Carolina where he was a worship pastor for 10 years before joining the collective, and is now a resident of Thompson’s Station, TN with his family. Baldwin's musical roots go back to his high school days at Albemarle High School in North Carolina. Fueled by a family steeped in worship – his father was a pastor and worship leader – Baldwin began playing drums for him and other worship teams. This early exposure to music fostered a passion for leading worship himself, which he started doing alongside playing guitar during his high school years. His journey continued at Lee University, but a calling to worship ministry led him to switch gears and enroll at MorningStar Ministry School alongside future worship leaders John Mark McMillan and Jonathan David Helser. After graduating from MorningStar, he began his career as a worship leader at MorningStar Fellowship Church. In 2008, he independently released his debut album, "Changing." He then moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2010 to serve as worship pastor at Queen City Church. Baldwin's album, "Rivers," released in 2014, marked his first appearance on the Billboard charts. A major turning point came in 2014 when Baldwin signed with Bethel Music and relocated to Redding, California to join Bethel Church
