Artist
Zeca Medeiros is already part of Portuguese folk’s history — and is, still, contributing to the newest chapters with his takes, his songs and, most of all, his unique voice tone, deep as the ocean separating his hometown from the continental Portugal. Medeiros, born and raised in Azores (even called the Azorean Tom Waits), helped defining new ways for Portuguese culture and the Azorean cultural identity, having composed some of the most important music of the 20th century and sharing stages with the most important artists of folk music.
