Jorie grew up in a big family (3 brothers and 3 sisters) in Brockton, a small town in Massachusetts. She began learning to play and write when her family won a piano in a raffle when Jorie was only ten years old. After high school she attended the Berkley School of Music to further hone her already impressive songwriting skills, and later studied at the Boston Songwriter's workshop. Her first break cam when she played some of her music for her dentist who was so impressed he offered to finance a set of recording sessions. With the release of her debut CD "California Country" Jorie seems destined for great things. The first single, "Old Guitar" was in rotation on hundreds of radio stations across the country and peaked two national charts at number 19 (Indie Country top 50) and number 23 (Christian Country, top 100).
