Jordan Parker Revue was a four piece group originally made up of two sets of brothers from the Dayton, OH, area. Their first single was "Mardi Ellen"/"Man Of The Hour" on Night Owl Records, written by Eric Smith & Harry Urschel, respectively, and produced by UMAC Productions. The band track was recorded at the production company studio, Miamisburg, OH, vocals done at Chess Studios, Chicago. After this release one of the brothers decided to leave the band and was replaced on drums by one of the UMAC partners. There was a brief association with producers Calvert/Marzano, who recorded JPR at ODO Recording, NYC, but no record deal resulted. "Ginger Bread Man," by writers Urschel/Albert, was the bands' second single and was produced by the Opus 65 partners and released on Sire Records in October 1969. All tracks for this single were done at Jewel Recording, Mt. Healthy, OH (there was a final mix done at Bell Sound Studios, NYC, but it is unknown if this or the Mt. Healthy mix made it on to the single). JPRs' third single was an unaccredited performance in 1970 on "Monday Morning Man" (Urschel/Albert) by Trudi on Twentieth Century Fox Records. This single was also recorded entirely at Jewel Recording & produced by Opus 65. Trudi was actually Trudi & Hopple Street Exit, a band that was formed when Jordan Parker Revue merged with another group featuring Trudi & her husband (pen name Jordan Parker, also one of JPRs' producers).
