Artist
Born on 22 June 1987, Jordaan Mason (they/them) is an experimental artist from Toronto, Canada. They were given classes for the piano in their childhood. As a kid, they did musical theater, where they discovered their passion for singing. They started writing at 16 and started putting out records at 17. Apart from music, they have also authored a book titled “The Skin Team”. Self-describing as a human mess, they try to embrace their lack of self-identity in their music, which often circles around themes of queerness, abuse, dysphoria, and violence. After three solo albums, they put out a record in 2009 with ‘the horse museum’, which is a collective of musicians that were formed organically. This record brought them a sizable following, after which they went on to put out several more records with critical acclaim.
